Why Moní exists
Laws are written for everyone, but they read as if they were written for no one. Most people don't understand legal texts — and there's nothing wrong with that. The problem isn't people. The problem is the wall between law and the people it's supposed to serve.
Moní is an attempt to remove that wall. It's an AI assistant that explains Tajik legislation in plain language, finds the right articles, and helps you understand your situation before you see a lawyer.
How it started
The idea came from Fotekh Azizov, a schoolboy who believed AI could make law more understandable. He partnered with one of Tajikistan's leading law firms — AAA Law Offices — and together they built Moní: the first AI legal assistant for Tajik law.
The name "Moní" is inspired by a prophet-like figure from ancient Persian tradition — a mediator between worlds. In the same way, our Moní bridges the gap between complex legal texts and ordinary people.
What Moní can do
Moní works with up-to-date Tajik legislation — codes, laws, bylaws, regulations, rules, and strategies. The platform is continuously updated with new legal acts.
A built-in calculator helps compute taxes, fees, duties, fines, and other mandatory payments — accounting for all relevant parameters and citing specific articles of law.
Moní can respond in many languages — from Russian and Tajik to English, Arabic, and Chinese — making Tajik law accessible not just to citizens but to foreign investors, entrepreneurs, and international organizations.
Who it's for
Moní isn't for lawyers. It's for people. For the student writing a paper who needs to understand what an article of law actually means. For the entrepreneur who wants to make sense of a contract before calling an attorney. For the journalist who needs a precise citation. For the foreigner planning business in Tajikistan.
Moní doesn't replace a lawyer — it prepares you for one. When you walk into that meeting already understanding the basics, the conversation happens at a different level.
Recognition
The project has been covered by Asia-Plus, Times of Central Asia, Kabar news agency, and other media. In April 2026, Moní was selected for the Top 250 of the world's largest student startup competition — the Blue Ocean Student Entrepreneur Competition — out of more than 23,000 participants from 173 countries.
